More than just a holiday home.

Brora Terrace is more than just a holiday home – it's a perfect location, and any good location comes with fantastic amenities for the locals and visitors.

brora beach

Brora Beach

An award winning Beach, Brora beach is an excellent spot for wildlife watching. As well as inquisitive seals, otters, heron and Arctic tern, visitors have a chance of spotting dolphins and even minke whale out at sea. There is even prehistoric wildlife in the form of fossils which might be found at the mouth of the river.  A 5 minute walk from The Terrace.

brora golf course

Brora Golf Course

Gleneagles may be more glamourous, Carnoustie more prestigious but it is Brora which is the most northerly golf memorial to James Braid in his native Scotland.  This golf course, designed by Braid in 1923 has been called “the most natural links anywhere in the World” by Australian Peter Thomson.  Today’s Golfer voted it the best value golf course in Britain.  Stunning views by the Sea (just watch out for the sheep and the odd cow!) and again just a 5 minute walk away.

Dunrobin Castle

Dunrobin Castle

Dunrobin Castle is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Sutherland and only 5 minutes by car from The Terrace.  This French Chateau-style Castle has 189 rooms making it the largest house in the northern Highlands and it is also one of Britain’s oldest continuously lived-in houses, dating back to the 1300’s.  Don’t miss the impressive Falconry displays in the extensive gardens.

clynelish distillery

clynelish distillery

The Distillery situated at the edge of the village where the Clynemilton Burn runs over seams of gold in the rock.  With this water, Clynelish distillery produces a fruity, waxy, slightly smoky single malt.  Take a Tour and a Taste.

Latheronwheel Harbour

Latheronwheel Harbour

A small fishing village – the harbour at one time was home to 50 boats although few now remain.  On a nice day take a picnic but equally very atmospheric on a stormy day.

Dornoch Beach

Dornoch Beach

Another award winning Beach with sandy dunes and stunning views.  No need to worry about crowds here with seemingly never ending stretches.

brora - the perfect location on the east coast.

At Brora Terrace, we believe a true community shouldn't be gated or fenced in – it should seamlessly melt into its surroundings. That's why we chose Brora's beautiful village for our location.
